Barringha Enterprises

Barringha Enterprises is a large Aboriginal owed mining and resources company who specialises in various mining activities. They are heavily safety orientated which makes them an attractive business to collaborate with.

Project scope

Barringha Enterprises asked us for guidance with their Mine PMP submission along with HSE Support and the conduct of a thorough mine site Risk Assessment.

Risk Assessment

Risk assessments are one of the most vital safety requirements DMIRS looks for when conducting a PMP, MCP submission or any other Risk Assessment in general. We conducted a full CRAW Risk Assessment of the mine site which included offices, villages, catering, ablutions, processing plants, open pit, ROM, TSF’s, changing conditions and much more.

We systematically conducted this Risk Assessment by filtering the types of hazards (physical, psychosocial, chemical, biological and ergonomic). We conducted this through each section following the provided plans of the mine. We took into consideration, mobile crushing and other utilities that were not yet installed and conducted a thorough risk assessment which overly satisfied the CEO of Barringha Enterprises.

The Risk Assessment was completed within 1 week and consisted of the entire mine site with 12 hour working days and a fly-out to site. This time included the conduct of the risk assessment, the delivery and walk-through of the process with Top Management within the metro based office and included the CEO of the company.

Mine PMP & MCP Submission Guidance

Our Safety specialist team provided PMP guidance to Barringha Enterprises which consisted of liaising with top management and various departments including engineering, safety, Site Management and others.

We guided departments to produce required documentation and plans as per DMIRS guidelines. In addition, we conducted a full scale audit of the company’s safety management system and resolved any gaps within safety documentation through the development of high quality safety documentation including procedures, policies and checklists. We also ensured that relevant safety information was provided and all sections were completed as per the DMIRS guideline.

We proceeded to input all information including the Risk Assessment we completed and once all the information was complete, it was sent off to DMIRS. We received a response 6 weeks later that the PMP submission was successful and the company was able to officially open the mine site in a safe, productive and efficient manner.

The results of all of the services provided to Barringha Enterprises exceeded their expectations and they have continued to liaise with Safetec Safety Solutions for guidance and future project opportunities.
